Hi Everyone,
We’ve put together a price guide for you to use. This is only a guide, to help you understand your pricing structure and allow you to quote appropriately so that you stay in business.
Sooooo, how did we come up with these figures??
We’re glad you asked!
Let’s break it down per car.
- On average the price of Revivify usage is 20-25% of the customer quote. This is a good deposit price as you have then covered the purchase of the product.
- Add another 2-4% to cover the use of other consumables you use such as pads, compounds, polishes, clay bars, microfibres etc
- Business expenses - wages, power, water, rent, equipment, insurance, advertising etc.- 40%
- Profit - 15%
- Tax - 30%
Now let’s use an example:
Scott drives his Wild Plum Nissan Micra to Darren’s Workshop and he wants a One Step Paint Enhancement and Revivify Lite SH Coating.
Scott gets quoted $1300 based on the price guide.
This is why.
- Darren buys his bottle of SH Lite which is less than 13% of the overall quote.
- Darren considers his consumables and makes that 2.3% of the overall quote.
- Darren considers his outgoing business expenses at 40%
- Darren factors in a small profit margin - 15%
- Darren pays tax - 30%
Quote - $1300
Self Heal Lite - $165 - 12.7%
Consumables - $30 - 2.3%
Business Expenses - $520 - 40%
Profit - $195 - 15%
Tax - $390 - 30%
Total - $1300
All these figures are an example only and you as the business owner can attribute a percentage breakdown to each category as you and/or you accountant/financial advisor sees fit.
Knowing ‘Your Numbers’ is an integral part of running a successful business which enables you to ‘Save - for a rainy day’, ‘Put $$’s away for a nice holiday’ , ‘Pay off accumulated debt sooner’ - all while knowing your business expenses and tax obligations are also being met.
